
Brian Aldiss (1925–2017) was a renowned English writer and editor, celebrated for his contributions to science fiction. He authored influential works like the Helliconia Trilogy and the short story Supertoys Last All Summer Long, which inspired the film A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Aldiss was associated with the British New Wave of science fiction and received numerous accolades, including Hugo and Nebula Awards. He was also inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2004. His imaginative storytelling and exploration of human and societal themes left a lasting legacy in speculative fiction.
