David Bischoff  was an American science fiction and television writer known for his prolific output, including over 80 novels. He specialized in tie-in novels for popular movies and TV series, such as Aliens, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. His original works include Tin Woodman, co-written with Dennis Russell Bailey, which was nominated for a Nebula Award. Bischoff also contributed to television, writing episodes for shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation and Dinosaucers. In addition to his writing, he taught creative writing at Seton Hill University.
