Robert Lynn Asprin (1946–2008) was an American author best known for his humorous fantasy and science fiction works. He gained fame with his MythAdventures series, which follows the comedic escapades of Skeeve, a magician, and his demon mentor, Aahz. Asprin also co-created the Thieves’ World series, a shared-world anthology that became a significant influence in the genre. His Phule’s Company series brought humor to military science fiction.
Beyond his writing, Asprin was active in science fiction fandom and contributed to the Society for Creative Anachronism. His works are celebrated for their wit, clever wordplay, and engaging storytelling.
