
A.C. Crispin (Ann Carol Crispin, 1950–2013) was a celebrated American science fiction and fantasy author, best known for her Han Solo Trilogy in the Star Wars universe and several Star Trek novels. She also created the original StarBridge series aimed at young adults and wrote tie-in novels for franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean and Alien Resurrection.
Beyond fiction, she was a fierce advocate for writers’ rights. She co-founded Writer Beware, a watchdog group that exposes publishing scams. In 2013, she was named Grandmaster by the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers for her contributions to the genre.
