He gained recognition for his Ayes of Texas trilogy, a Cold War-era alternate history where a newly independent Republic of Texas battles Soviet dominance using a retrofitted battleship. His earlier works included men’s action-adventure stories, and he later ventured into technothrillers and time-travel tales like F-Cubed and Mixed Doubles
