Jeffrey A. Carver is an American science fiction author known for his imaginative space adventures and thoughtful exploration of science and humanity. Born in 1949, he’s best known for The Chaos Chronicles and the Star Rigger universe—series that blend hard science with rich storytelling. His novel Eternity’s End was a finalist for the 2001 Nebula Award, and in 2022, he received the Helicon Lifetime Achievement Award.

Carver is also passionate about teaching the craft of writing. He created a TV series on science fiction and fantasy writing that’s now available online, helping aspiring writers navigate the genre’s creative challenges.
