
Juanita Coulson is an American science fiction and fantasy author, born in 1933, best known for her Children of the Stars series, which explores themes like first contact and the ethical dilemmas of human expansion into space. She began publishing in the 1960s and also co-edited the influential fanzine Yandro, which won a Hugo Award in 1965. Beyond writing, she’s a celebrated figure in filk music—science fiction folk music—and was inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 1996.
