Steven Harper Piziks is an American author known for his work in science fiction, fantasy, and steampunk. He writes under both his real name, Steven Piziks, and the pseudonym Steven Harper. His novels often explore themes of identity, technology, and LGBTQ+ issues, and he’s been nominated multiple times for the Gaylactic Spectrum Award.

Born in Saginaw, Michigan, Piziks earned degrees in German, speech, English, and health education, later completing a master’s in English. He’s also a high school English teacher and lives in Michigan with his husband.

His notable series include The Silent Empire, Clockwork Empire, and Books of Blood and Iron, along with novelizations for Star Trek, The Exorcist, and Ghost Whisperer
