Tara K. Harper is an American science fiction and fantasy author best known for the Wolfwalker and Cat Scratch series. A graduate of the University of Oregon, she has a background in high-tech research and development, particularly in testing and measurement. Her debut novel Wolfwalker became a bestseller and launched a successful writing career that includes over ten novels.

Beyond writing, Harper is deeply involved in community service—teaching creative writing in alternative schools, training youth in wilderness skills, and serving on the board of a youth treatment center. She’s also a martial artist, outdoor enthusiast, and accomplished in various arts including painting, sculpting, and music composition.
